About the Role Join AIG’s Investment Accounting team to manage accounting processes for invested assets across international entities, support external reporting for investments, and drive process improvements and system implementations. This role ensures accurate monthly and quarterly close and reliable disclosures across multiple legal entities. What You'll Do
- Execute and manage the monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure accuracy of invested assets data for international entities.
- Support the preparation of Investment disclosures for AIG 10-Q/K and Financial Supplement, including Investment, Lending, Fair Value, VIE Footnotes, and Investment MD&AA.
- Assist with process improvements and the implementation of new systems, in coordination with other areas of the department.
- Serve as the point of contact and support for various business units and corporate controllers.
- Coordinate with various areas to understand new investment transactions and ensure the accounting results are accurately recorded in AIG ledgers.
- Perform ad-hoc analytical requests. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- At least 3 years’ experience in accounting and reporting for investment products.
- Understanding of investment products and accounting treatment for fixed maturity, equity, cash equivalents and alternative investments.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and the recording of investments-related journal entries.
- Experience with foreign currency remeasurement and translation.
- Strong analytical skills and experience performing investment data analysis with commentary.
- High level of competency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
- Ability to collaborate with teams in multiple locations.
- Ability to balance multiple projects with urgency and attention to detail in a time-sensitive environment.
- Team-player mindset geared toward process improvements and accounting controls.
- Self-motivated with initiative and strong organizational skills.
- Comfort working in a dynamic and complex organizational structure.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; database experience a plus. Nice to Have

- Base salary ranges: New York, NY: $87,000-$109,000; Connecticut: $87,000-$109,000; New Jersey: $88,000-$110,000 (USD).
- Salary is yearly; eligible for a bonus per the applicable incentive plan.
