Job Description
- The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory control activities, ensuring accurate inventory records, effective stock management, and compliance with established accounting and supply chain standards.
- The role involves managing inventory reconciliation, conducting stock audits, investigating discrepancies, and collaborating with relevant teams to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of inventory accounting principles, and experience using ERP systems and inventory management tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Conduct physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits.
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, inventory policies, and supply chain standards.
- Monitor inventory movements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Warehouse, and other relevant teams to optimize inventory management processes.
- Support the implementation and improvement of inventory control procedures.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in inventory accounting, inventory control, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, inventory management practices, and standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 / month.
