About this role
Section: Overview Label Store is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to manage stock levels, inventory records, stock movements and reconciliations while ensuring accurate stock control.
Section: Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of stock received, transferred, issued and sold.
- Conduct physical stock counts and reconcile inventory with system records.
- Receive and verify deliveries against invoices, delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for quantity, quality, damages and expiry dates where applicable.
- Ensure proper arrangement, labelling and storage of goods.
- Monitor stock levels and report low, excess, damaged, expired or slow-moving items.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages and variances.
- Maintain records of stock transfers and prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports.
- Work with Accounts, Procurement, Sales and Store teams to ensure effective inventory control.
- Monitor products approaching expiry and ensure compliance with inventory procedures.
Section: Requirements
- Minimum of https://t.co/cqTb3tLWTm., HND or OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
- Previous experience in inventory management, stock control, warehousing or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of stock management and inventory control procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/accounting software.
- Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in a supermarket, retail, FMCG or similar environment is an added advantage.
