Job title: Inventory Associate (Day 8AM Shift)

About the Role Reporting to the National Inventory Manager, Medline Canada is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our team. You will perform cycle counts, manage stock, and utilize SAP and Microsoft Office to ensure accurate inventory. You will also contribute to root cause analysis and reconciliation efforts to maintain inventory accuracy.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and reconcile any discrepancies found
  • Perform root cause analysis to investigate underlying causes of inventory discrepancies and develop corrective actions
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues
  • Reconcile inventory records, including identifying and rectifying discrepancies between physical counts and system data
  • Ensure compliance with established inventory control policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize the SAP ERP system to perform inventory-related transactions (issuing, transferring, and adjusting inventory)
  • Manage inventory by blocking and releasing inventory due to stock checks, damage, quality purposes, and product recalls
  • Create approvals for inventory movement, ensuring proper authorization and documentation
  • Assist in implementing and improving inventory management processes and procedures
  • Adjust damaged and returned products and verify receipt against approved authorization
  • Complete all activities and documentation accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with GMP and company procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or related roles preferred
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment; forklift licenses (Raymond Reach, Order Picker) are a bonus
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong listening and problem resolution skills; strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • High sense of urgency and customer service orientation
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word)
  • Comfortable working at heights (Operating MHE)
  • Safety-conscious with the ability to operate material handling equipment and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Note: You will resume the same status you currently hold with the company, whether permanent employee or contract

Nice to Have

  • Forklift license to operate Raymond Reach or Order Picker (bonus)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $19.81 - $29.71 per hour
