Job title: Inventory Associate (Afternoon 12PM Shift)
About the Role Reporting to the National Inventory Manager, the Inventory Associate role is focused on maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and SAP-based transactions at Medline Canada in Guelph, ON.
The position supports cross-functional teams by identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure reliable stock records and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and reconcile any discrepancies found.
- Perform root cause analysis to investigate underlying causes of inventory discrepancies and develop corrective actions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues.
- Reconcile inventory records, including identifying and rectifying discrepancies between physical counts and system data.
- Ensure compliance with established inventory control policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (GMP).
- Utilize the SAP ERP system to perform inventory-related transactions, such as issuing, transferring, and adjusting inventory.
- Manage inventory by blocking and releasing inventory due to stock checks, damage to products, quality purposes, and product recall.
- Create approvals for inventory movement, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of inventory management processes and procedures.
- Adjust damaged and returned products and verify receipt against approved authorization.
- Complete all activities and documentation accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with GMP and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or related roles preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment; forklift licenses (Raymond Reach, Order Picker) are a bonus.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; excellent listening and problem-resolution abilities; strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team; high sense of urgency and customer service focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Comfortable working at heights and operating material handling equipment; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; safety conscious.
Nice to Have
- Forklift licenses for Raymond Reach or Order Picker are a bonus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $19.81 - $29.71 per hour. Medline Canada is an equal opportunity employer.
