About the Role Join Endeavor Health as an Internal Medicine Physician in Addison, IL. This outpatient, physician-led primary care role is part of a fully integrated system serving millions across nine hospitals. You’ll provide comprehensive medical care in a collaborative environment with EPIC EMR usage and a mix of patient care and administrative responsibilities including 36 patient care hours and 4 admin hours, with call split evenly. What You'll Do
- Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients
- Educate patients on wellness and prevention by providing materials and resources to patients and families
- Share health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure availability of a physician
- Determine which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs
- Determine level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments
- Exercise final medical judgment in all issues of health care
- Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients
- Order studies, tests and ancillary services
- Document all services in patient medical record
- Review long-term cases that require ongoing medical attention
- Consult with Medical Director and other professionals on staff regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues
- Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs
- Oversee mid-level medical staff and nursing staff as assigned
- Assist in resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
- Participate in teaching sessions for staff, residents and/or medical students as assigned What We're Looking For
- Illinois Medical License or License Pending
- Completed Internal Medicine residency and board certified/eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine
- Two or more years of professional experience
- EPIC EMR experience (preferred) Compensation & Benefits
- Market competitive compensation range from $220,000 - $366,000 annually
