About this role
Intern Software Engineering Intern - Container Tools (Brno, Czech Republic)
What you will do:
- Participate in upstream communities and on a scrum team
- Develop new features in container technologies to support different products
- Work on designing technical solutions to abstract problems
- Ensure test plans for the code you create exist and that documentation is correct
- Work on open source projects like podman and other container related technologies
- Leverage AI and Agentic Workflows where it sees fit
What you will bring:
- You must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic during the full duration of the internship and must be able to join us part-time from February 2027 till January 2028
- Working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Basic experience with any programming language
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a geographically distributed team
- Interest in learning new technologies; problem-solving skills.
The following are considered a plus:
- Experience with Golang, Rust and/or python is a plus
- Knowledge of Jira and GitHub workflows a plus
- Familiarity with Linux containers, Docker, or Kubernetes a plus
- Familiarity with Networking is a plus
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) is a plus
