What you will enjoy doing*
- You will apply classroom lessons in a real-world procurement environment
- You will learn about project procurement, purchasing, logistics, expediting, supplier management, and project execution during the summer internship
- Also, you are going to receive a work assignment within the entire Procurement organization
- Work under the guidance of an experienced mentor
- Support planning, sourcing, logistics coordination, expediting, supplier performance analysis, and process improvement initiatives
- You will complete a well-defined, key project that provides value to the organization by the end of the internship
- Collaborate with project procurement, engineering, project management, and logistics professionals on business-critical activities
What makes you great
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- You have the ability to demonstrate past leadership in school, internship, project, volunteer, or sporting activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications
- Hands-on experience through at least one relevant internship, co-op, student project, or extracurricular activity is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- On-site internship with a Monday-Friday schedule of 40 hours per week
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 preferred

The position owner will be LENA s single point of contact for all supply chain issues related to commodities including life cycle management, overall supplier relationship, proposals and purchases, aftermarket support, escalation of issues and supplier performance. Acts as the liaison between Global / Regional Suppliers and our Internal customers (Linde Engineering, Global COE, Global Plant Operations Global Hydrogen, and Research & Development) management. The Commodity manager creates winning solutions through knowledge of the industry, collaboration on market opportunities, use of frame agreements (FAs), introduction of new supplier options, knowledge of equipment and ability to deliver results through high impact negotiations.
In this role you must learn and abide the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct by demonstrating honesty, integrity, professionalism in all communications, actions, and decisions.
