Job title: Intern - Marketing and Communications M/F
About the Role The intern will support CFAO SA's Marketing and Communications department by assisting with internal and cross-functional projects, coordinating communications, creating engaging content, and providing administrative support across campaigns and events for a 12-month period.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate monthly content for internal publishing on various platforms and analyse feedback to measure impact and identify improvements.
- Use CFAO's mascot Lifty in internal communications to drive engagement and entrenchment; create and drive internal campaigns; produce multimedia content (videos, graphics) for internal platforms.
- Support CFAO SA's engagement strategy, update the Champions list, and act as a Champion for national actions; post content on Teams and WhatsApp Groups.
- Manage CFAO Community: post weekly approved articles and drive staff interaction; lead projects on CFAO Community.
- Coordinate procurement of corporate gifts, promote the CFAO SA online store, and maintain monthly stock control for audit purposes; assist with stock for marketing handouts.
- Assist with events: admin tasks, RSVPs, follow-ups, name tags, gift wrapping, and basic collateral; support smooth execution of campaigns.
- Maintain and upload marketing collateral to SharePoint; inform staff of updated collateral; update photo library after events/projects.
- Administer supplier onboarding documents; obtain Brand Coordinator approval, maintain organised supplier records, and coordinate annual BBBEE certification.
- Maintain up-to-date worksheets on Teams, save work on Marketing server, coordinate SOP/SLA for events and promotions, and ensure photos are stored on SharePoint.
- Demonstrate cooperation, initiative, integrity, and strong work ethic; capable of working overtime and physically able to perform tasks as required by the role.
What We're Looking For
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or PR.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and overall computer literacy.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and collaboration skills; excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan ahead, and build constructive relationships within a team.
- High energy, good health, and the ability to carry, lift, and move heavy objects; ability to stand or sit for long periods; willingness to work overtime as requested.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SharePoint and managing marketing collateral; familiarity with supplier documentation and compliance tasks.
