About this role
Job title: Intern, Engineering, Software & Gaming
About the Role Logitech is seeking an Innovation Engineering Intern focused on software & gaming. You will join the Inno Panel group within the C4C hardware engineering team in Suzhou to develop PoC software on Logitech's Innovation Quick Prototyping Platform, learning from rapid iterations and real user feedback.
What You'll Do
- Bring the perspective of a real gamer to team discussions, spanning multiple game genres with Delta Force as a baseline.
- Develop the software portion of PoCs on the Logitech Innovation Quick Prototyping Platform; build desktop apps, host tools, AI Agent integrations, and demonstration scripts using JavaScript to deliver runnable prototypes.
- Instrument PoCs with data collection (logs, telemetry) and simple dashboards; iterate quickly to translate user observations into the next prototype.
- Collaborate with UX leads to identify unmet needs in real Chinese gaming scenarios (must cover FPS; MOBA/MMO/racing or simulation, mobile, console preferred).
- Build and maintain a reusable prototype component library; work closely with cross-disciplinary teams including firmware, electronics, and mechanical hardware engineers so software can run on real prototype boards.
- Work with UX experts to observe user testing and distill insights for rapid iteration within the same week.
- Help integrate software with hardware prototypes and ensure the run-ready state of PoCs.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or master's student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Game Design or related field.
- Strong software development ability and fluency in JavaScript (able to write, debug, and deliver runnable code).
- AI-assisted programming experience or active use of AI coding tools (prompting, output validation, and integrating AI-generated code).
- Deep, multi-genre gamer with passion for peripherals; willingness to articulate why a device is good or not for specific genres (FPS required; MOBA/MMO/Racing or other genres preferred).
- Proficiency in Chinese and English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Availability for 4–6 months on-site in Suzhou, ideally full-time (at least 4 days per week).
- Curious, fast-moving, able to deliver rough-but-working prototypes.
Nice to Have
- Game development experience (Unity, Unreal, Godot, or in-house engines).
- AI tinkering experience (using large language model APIs, training or fine-tuning small models, or integrating CV hardware).
- Hardware tinkering (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, customized keyboards) or maker projects.
- Competitive or streaming background (ranked play, esports teams, stream contributions).
- Open-source contributions (GitHub projects).
- Broad peripherals experience and ability to compare across brands/price points with clear improvement ideas.
- Bilingual advantage (Chinese-English) in both communication and collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits Logitech offers comprehensive and competitive benefits; details vary by location. The position is an internship with a 4–6 month term. On-site work in Suzhou with a hybrid-friendly approach where applicable.
