Your Opportunity

Our Vancouver Interior Design Studio is seeking an innovative, passionate Intermediate Interior Designer or Interior Architect to join our studio.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about all things design and understands the connection between creative vision, documentation, and the construction process. Working closely with our Design Lead and a collaborative team, you will shape compelling spatial stories across diverse sectors such as retail, hospitality, food & beverage, aviation, workplace, education, healthcare, and civic projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

Tell a story through design, transforming client aspirations, project aspirations, and user needs into compelling design stories and memorable spatial experiences.

Contribute to the creation and development of innovative design concepts, experiential narratives, and design visioning strategies.

Develop high-quality design presentations, mood boards, concept books, material explorations, and visual narratives that communicate design intent.

Leverage new technologies to augment the traditional design process, including emerging AI-driven tools.

Collaborate closely with project teams to advance design excellence throughout all phases of project delivery, ensuring high quality project delivery.

Communicate and support relationships with other disciplines, internal teams, clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors.

Build and maintain great client relationships and provide excellent service.

Inspire and contribute to a positive, creative studio culture through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship of junior staff.

Work across multiple sectors and disciplines to develop integrated and innovative design solutions.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, conflicting deadlines, and various project demands.

Advanced technical proficiency in Revit (is a must), SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign), and Bluebeam.

Highly skilled conceptual ideation, rendering, and presentation abilities, using 3D models in SketchUp and associated rendering plug-ins (Enscape).

Well-versed in all phases of the design and project execution process, with a keen attention to detail.

Experience in reviewing work and leading small teams in a collaborative setting.

Strong organizational, project management, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience

5 years of professional interior design experience, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, conflicting deadlines, and various project demands.

A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related design discipline.

Professional experience preferably with proven understanding of the Retail, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Aviation, Workplace, Education, Healthcare, or Civic Projects is considered an asset.

NCIDQ registration or progress toward registration is considered an asset.

Pay Range:

  • Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$64,800.00 - $93,900.00 Annually

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
