We are looking for an experienced SOX Manager to lead Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities and strengthen control readiness across the organization in Irving, Texas. This Long-term Contract position focuses on overseeing the SOX 404 program, partnering with business stakeholders to address control deficiencies, and ensuring documentation and evidence are ready for testing. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of internal controls, risk assessment, and compliance execution, along with the ability to keep cross-functional teams aligned on key milestones and deliverables.

This is a 5-6 month contract position

100% ONSITE 5 days a week in Irving, TX

Interim SOX Manager (contract position):

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily SOX 404 compliance activities and help maintain progress toward audit and testing readiness.

• Collaborate with control owners across departments to uncover control weaknesses and coordinate timely corrective actions.

• Verify that key controls are thoroughly documented and supported with appropriate evidence before testing begins.

• Interpret the risk and controls matrix to evaluate control coverage, monitor status, and highlight areas requiring attention.

• Organize the collection of supporting materials needed to satisfy testing and audit requirements.

• Maintain visibility into outstanding issues, remediation efforts, and target dates to keep compliance work on schedule.

• Communicate updates, risks, and action items to stakeholders to promote accountability and forward momentum.

• Support the overall controls environment by driving execution and follow-through across business teams.

• Demonstrated experience managing or supporting a SOX 404 compliance program.

• Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance readiness, and testing support activities.

• Ability to assess risk and controls matrices and identify gaps in control coverage.

• Proven skill in coordinating with control owners and obtaining sufficient documentation for testing.

• Excellent communication, organization, and project tracking abilities.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with internal audit, control testing, and SOX-related compliance processes.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is preferred but not required.
