About the Role

Interface Specialist supports Municipal Justice software by interpreting internal and third-party information and applying solutions to special interfaces. You will configure and train clients on interface applications and merchant processing systems, while assisting in the development of integration documentation and product updates.

What You'll Do

  • Interpret internal and third-party information to implement interfaces within Municipal Justice software products.

  • Configure and train clients on various interface applications and merchant processing systems; assist in the development of integration documentation and product updates.

  • Expand technological skills and knowledge of interfaces Municipal Justice integrates with; identify gaps or needs with integrations in collaboration with development and product teams.

  • Create or enhance documentation for integrations.

  • Solve problems effectively in an evolving environment with continuously evolving technologies.

  • Work with static and configurable interfaces and underlying technologies such as file drops, web service calls, and APIs.

  • Provide rudimentary networking guidance (ports, ACLs, routing rules) to enable communications through client networks; work with firewalls and S/FTP configurations.

  • Troubleshoot output file types such as XML and RTF.

  • Maintain an approachable and courteous demeanor in verbal and written communication to ensure clients’ confidence in the organization and deliverables.

  • Communicate responsibilities to all parties involved in interface configuration to meet and manage client expectations.

  • Conduct end-user training for clients on how to use Municipal Justice interfaces.

  • Work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

  • Accurately record all details and progress in incident tracking systems.

  • Resolve issues of basic to advanced complexity using established guidelines, company policies, and contract specifications.

  • Collaborate with Tyler teams to prioritize interface setup and on-time delivery between Tyler products.

  • Adhere to Company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook (Safety, EEO, Ethics, Anti-Harassment, etc.).

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • What We're Looking For

  • Four-year college degree preferred.

  • Software life-cycle knowledge is a plus.

  • Knowledge or work experience in Municipal Justice (municipal financial management and/or municipal courts) is a plus.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Superior analytical skills and logical reasoning.

  • Ability to work effectively with developers, network technicians and clients.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong work ethic.

  • Knowledge of standards for Windows®-based software.

  • Nice to Have

  • Municipal Justice domain knowledge; familiarity with municipal financial management and/or municipal courts is desirable.

  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary will generally fall between $47,394 - $60,000 before adjustment for geographic differences.
