About the Role
The role sits in ExxonMobil's Global Business Center (GBC) in Budapest within the Cost Management organization. It focuses on intercompany accounting, cost allocations, and monthly/quarterly/annual financial close activities to support external reporting and internal stewardship. You will work with inter-affiliate transactions and contribute to audits and continuous process improvements.
What You'll Do
- Specialized in accounting for intercompany, accounting for special business events and monthly/quarterly/annual financial close activities
- Reconcile and investigate billing and cost allocation queries for prompt resolution
- Support regional Treasury Center to ensure all inter-affiliate financing transactions are properly reflected in the books
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly key performance indicators
- Build knowledge on end-to-end process and business processes
- Develop an understanding of the financial implications of intercompany accounting
- Support internal and external audits (US GAAP, Local Statutory, Tax Authority)
- Support local and global process improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work full time (40 hours/week)
- Bachelor/Master degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics, Business or equivalent (at least 2 semesters of accounting)
- Relevant 2 years of full time work experience in AP/AR or accounting is preferred
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of accounting
- Fluent English
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Precision and attention to detail; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Can-do attitude; willingness to take initiative and seek challenges
- Ability to influence others and work in a team environment
- Good communication, collaboration, and coordination skills
- Interest in digital innovation and continuous improvement; digital skill is an advantage (e.g. VBA, Alteryx, SQL, Python)
