Integration and Test Engineer

About the Role Volt is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer in Richardson, TX to perform system integration and testing of all components, ensuring electrical and physical compatibility while meeting program objectives. You will support system design activities by integrating and testing COTS-based electromechanical systems across the full lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, installation, and commissioning. You will develop and implement integration plans and procedures for hardware, software, and facility requirements. What You'll Do

• Perform system integration and testing of all components, ensuring electrical and physical compatibility and alignment with program objectives.
• Develop and implement integration plans and procedures for hardware, software, and facility requirements.
• Support system design activities by integrating and testing COTS-based electromechanical systems across the full lifecycle (design, development, documentation, installation, commissioning).
• Ensure seamless interfacing between design and production through effective management of physical and electrical compatibility and first article integration.
• Analyze requirements to identify testability concerns and improve system performance.
• Design and execute system-level test programs, including test plans, specifications, procedures, and customer acceptance testing.
• Lead test working groups and test readiness reviews while conducting testability and producibility analyses to support successful system deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of testing activities with project schedules and costs. What We're Looking For
• Experience performing system integration and testing of components and subsystems.
• Strong background with COTS-based electromechanical systems across the full lifecycle (design, development, documentation, installation, commissioning).
• Ability to develop and implement comprehensive test plans, specifications, and procedures, including customer acceptance testing.
• Experience leading test working groups and test readiness reviews; proficient in testability and producibility analyses.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure electrical and physical compatibility between design and production, including first article integration.
• Active or Interim Clearance (or ability to obtain one). Nice to Have
• Familiarity with installation and commissioning activities in an integrated system environment.
• Additional certifications related to system integration or testing (e.g., ISTQB, IPC, etc.). Compensation & Benefits
• Pay Range: $60-65/hr.
