Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Technician to join our technical team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation faults and equipment failures.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systems.
- Work with sensors, transmitters, control valves, switches, gauges, and other field instruments.
- Read and interpret instrumentation drawings, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform calibration of pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other process instruments.
- Assist with commissioning and start-up activities for instrumentation and control systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential equipment problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, calibration, testing, and repair activities.
- Ensure all instrumentation work complies with applicable safety procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Work closely with engineers, electricians, operators, and other technical personnel.
- Perform other technical duties as assigned.
Requirements
- OND/HND in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience as an Instrumentation Technician or in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Practical experience with calibration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of field instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret instrumentation and electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with control valves, transmitters, sensors, PLCs, and other industrial control equipment.
- Good knowledge of electrical and instrumentation safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
