About the Role Diageo is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Montgomery, Alabama. The role focuses on designing, maintaining, and optimizing instrumentation and electrical systems across production lines to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to implement improvements that enhance process efficiency and product quality.
What You'll Do
- Design, install, commission, and maintain instrumentation and electrical systems for beverage production equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, and control system issues; implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and environmental standards; participate in risk assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation for system changes, improvements, and maintenance plans.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
- Experience in manufacturing or process industries.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, PLCs, instrumentation calibration, and electrical safety.
- Problem-solving mindset, analytical skills, and strong communication abilities.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience in beverage manufacturing or with Diageo products.
- Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA), Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of project management and commissioning processes.
