Instrumentation & Control Technician

About the Role Provide skills, experience, and expertise in the operations, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control devices used to monitor and/or control equipment and facilities, including transmitters, HMI, DCS/SCADA, SIS, PCNs F&G systems, and final control elements. The role supports safe, reliable production by leading maintenance programs, calibration, documentation, and adherence to MoC and HSE policies. What You'll Do

• Lead inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance routines.

• Qualify and perform initial witness of proving and calibration.

• Confer with Operations Support and Project Engineers on scopes impacting instrumentation.

• Conduct daily maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems in production operations.

• Maintain accurate calibration, repair, and maintenance records.

• Update P&IDs, loop drawings, and instrumentation databases.

• Generate reports on equipment performance and reliability issues.

• Adhere to Management of Change (MoC) processes, HSE policies, Safe Operating Procedures, and Control of Work (Permit) systems.

• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessments.

• Maintain housekeeping and report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses.

• Equipment knowledge includes flow/level/pressure/temperature/vibration transmitters, Hart/Fieldbus, pressure switches and relays, DVCs, MOVs, control valves and positioners, and Fire & Gas detection systems.

• Understands updating P&IDs and instrumentation databases and maintaining calibration records.

• Applies knowledge of DCS/SCADA/HMI/SIS/PCNs and F&G systems in daily operations.

• Follows MoC processes and HSE guidelines; reinforces safety culture in team. What We're Looking For

• Experience in operations, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control devices used to monitor and control equipment and facilities in production environments.

• Knowledge of transmitters (flow, level, pressure, temperature, vibration), and smart protocols such as HART and Fieldbus; pressure switches and relays; DVCs MOVs; control valves and positioners; Fire & Gas detection.

• Ability to update P&IDs, loop drawings, and instrumentation databases; maintain calibration and maintenance records; generate reports.

• Working knowledge of MoC processes and Safe Operating Procedures; adherence to HSE policies.

• Ability to troubleshoot and operate within DCS/SCADA, HMI, SIS, PCNs, and F&G systems in production settings.
