Job Title: Instrument Maintenance Technician I

Location: Akwa Ibom

Job Description

• We are seeking a qualified Instrument Maintenance Technician I to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support instrument and control systems in a processing or offshore production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute instrument maintenance activities in line with applicable standards, procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Ensure timely and quality completion of scheduled maintenance activities.
• Apply the Permit to Work System (PTWS) and maintain compliance with safe work practices.
• Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of instrument and control systems.
• Review control specifications and work practices.
• Support effective coordination between Operations, Engineering, and Projects teams.
• Develop and maintain technical knowledge of equipment, regulations, methods, and procedures.
• Support work prioritization and effective coordination with other work groups.
• Initiate and follow up on Management of Change (MOC) requests relating to control equipment and installations.
• Monitor and inspect new installations and recommend upgrades where necessary.
• Provide technical guidance to other Instrument Technicians and act as a stand-in for the Instrument Lead when required.

Requirements

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent high school education, preferably with relevant technical training.
• Experience maintaining Instrumentation and Control systems in a processing plant or offshore production facility.
• Familiarity with regulations applicable to Oil & Gas facilities, relevant operating systems, manuals, and procedures.
• Relevant safety, administrative, and technical training.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication, organization, and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and safety orientation.
