We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Instrument and Control Technician

Location: Nigeria

Role Purpose

• Perform installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation, control and safety systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient offshore production operations.

• Safe and timely delivery of assigned activities
• Compliance with planned maintenance/well execution schedules
• Quality and accuracy of technical documentation and reporting
• Reduction of operational downtime, failures or non- productive time as applicable
• HSE and regulatory compliance
• Effective contractor/stakeholder coordination

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and calibrate pressure, flow, level and temperature instruments, analyzers, control valves and positioners.

• Troubleshoot PLC, ESD, F&G and process-control system faults and support restoration of operational availability.

• Carry out loop checks, functional tests, commissioning and cause-and-effect verification. Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance plans.

• Inspect and maintain hazardous-area instrumentation and installations in accordance with applicable Ex requirements.

• Support maintenance of control panels, transmitters, actuators, solenoids and associated field devices. Use diagnostic and calibration tools and maintain accurate calibration and maintenance records. Participate in RCM, root-cause analysis and reliability-improvement activities.

• Work closely with Operations, Electrical and Mechanical teams during integrated maintenance activities.

• Comply strictly with PTW, isolation, LOTO, toolbox-talk and offshore HSE requirements.

• Qualifications & Experience

• HND / Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronics, Control Engineering or related discipline.

• 8-12 years' relevant instrumentation and control maintenance experience in oil and gas, preferably offshore production facilities.

• CompEx, ISA, City & Guilds or equivalent competency certification is an added advantage.
