About the Role The Raj Soin College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the Instructor/Lecturer level in Accounting. The role emphasizes excellence in teaching, service, accreditation support, and curriculum development for undergraduate and MBA programs, with opportunities for scholarship and professional engagement.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses for Accountancy and MBA programs; promote experiential learning and innovative teaching practices.
- Maintain a minimum of regular office hours, advise students, and communicate effectively in-person or virtually to support student success.
- Contribute to new program initiatives, curriculum development, and assurance of learning; incorporate business analytics and artificial intelligence into teaching.
- Develop and update course materials, outcomes, syllabi, and assessments; collaborate on program development and advising activities.
- Engage in service within the school, college, and university; participate in recruitment/outreach events and regional campus activities; work with program/industry advisory boards.
What We're Looking For
- Instructor: Master’s degree in Accountancy or closely related field anticipated by start date; must meet AACSB classifications (Practice Academic, Scholarly Practitioner, or Instructional Practitioner).
- Lecturer: Master’s degree in Accountancy or closely related field; at least 4 years of teaching and service in higher education at the Instructor level or equivalent.
- Preferred: Instructor — Master’s from AACSB-accredited institution; Lecturer — Ph.D. from AACSB-accredited institution; knowledge of AI in Accounting; real-world accounting experience; CPA or other relevant certifications.
Nice to Have
- Additional preferred qualifications include teaching, consulting, defense, or corporate accounting experience, and industry certifications such as CPA.
Compensation & Benefits
- Minimum Annual Salary negotiable; 100% FTE; Salary band: FA NA. Salary type: yearly; Currency: USD.
