Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a part-time, one-semester position of Instructor of the Practice (or Assistant Professor of the Practice with appropriate qualifications) in the Department of Business and Economics to begin January 1, 2027. The department anticipates a continued vacancy, and the successful candidate may be considered for continuation into the following academic year, contingent upon favorable review and the continuing needs of the College.

MBA, MAcc, MBT, or equivalent, but we will consider candidates with significant professional experience (PhD or ABD preferred)

Demonstrated ability to teach, train, or mentor others

Position Overview

Teach 2 course sections in the 2027 spring semester. Primary teaching responsibilities will include Managerial Finance and Investments, although the final courses assigned will be determined based on the candidate’s preparation, interests, and departmental needs.
