Instructor - High Performance - On Campus, Full-time

Description

  • The University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) College of Applied Technologies is seeking a qualified and experienced High Performance Instructor to educate and mentor students pursuing careers in the high-performance and motorsports industries. This full-time, on-campus position offers the opportunity to share technical expertise while helping students develop the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary for success in a rapidly evolving field.

  • Course assignments may include High Performance Suspension and Steering, Drivelines, Engine Machining, Fuel Systems and Performance, Custom Engine Building, Welding, Custom Fabrication, and Accessory Trends.

  • Essential Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will provide engaging classroom and laboratory instruction while maintaining a positive, professional, and student-centered learning environment. Responsibilities include serving as a positive leader and mentor to students, continuously updating course curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging technologies, and teaching one or two classes per day, with each class lasting approximately five hours. Candidates must be available to teach morning, afternoon, or evening classes as assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidates with an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution are preferred. A minimum of five years of professional experience in the automotive industry is also preferred. Candidates should possess strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and a commitment to student success.
