Installation Technician
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install commercial refrigeration equipment, condensing units (CDUs), freezers, chillers, and associated components at customer sites.
- Prepare, route, fit, and secure copper refrigerant piping in accordance with approved layouts and installation standards.
- Perform copper pipe brazing and welding, including large-diameter piping, using correct procedures and appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Fabricate and install steel frames, brackets, and structural supports required for refrigeration equipment and piping.
- Carry out electrical wiring and connection work for refrigeration equipment and control components within the role’s authorization and competency level.
- Read and follow installation drawings, piping layouts, equipment manuals, method statements, and site instructions.
- Conduct basic inspection, leak testing support, functional checks, and commissioning assistance; promptly report defects or deviations to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with project, electrical, service, subcontractor, and customer-site teams to complete installation activities efficiently.
- Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in safe, orderly, and serviceable condition.
- Complete assigned installation records, checklists, material usage records, and site progress updates accurately and on time.
- Comply with Epta policies, the Code of Ethics, site rules, applicable legal requirements, and Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Support waste segregation, responsible material use, refrigerant containment practices, and continuous improvement of installation quality and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS

Vocational Certificate (ปวช.) or High Vocational Certificate (ปวส.) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanical Power, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

Candidates with other educational backgrounds may be considered when they have at least 5 years of demonstrable commercial refrigeration installation and copper brazing experience.

Practical experience in commercial refrigeration installation is preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Competent in copper pipe fitting, preparation, routing, brazing, and welding; experience with large-diameter copper piping is preferred.

Ability to perform basic steel fabrication and structural support work.

Experience with structural steel welding methods such as SMAW/Stick, MIG/MAG, or TIG is an advantage.

Basic understanding of refrigeration systems, condensing units, control components, and electrical safety.

Ability to use installation tools and measuring instruments correctly and safely.

Ability to read technical drawings and follow documented installation requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Willing and able to travel regularly to project sites in Bangkok and other provinces.

Able to work onsite, stay overnight when project requirements require it, and work overtime in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

Able to perform installation work involving tools, piping, equipment handling, standing, climbing, and work in active construction or retail environments, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Must follow customer-site access requirements and all mandatory safety rules.
