Job title: Installation Manager
About the Role The Installation Manager will oversee the entire job construction process, from technical measurements through installation and completion, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This role coordinates a high-volume workflow (about 60 jobs per month, approximately $750,000 in revenue) and collaborates with the Sales Manager to ensure projects are sold and priced in line with company policies and financial objectives.
What You'll Do
- Manage the installation life cycle, including directing subcontractors, resolving disputes, and decisions affecting the financial outcome of the project.
- Produce installable windows and doors for every opening using sound measurement techniques; oversee about 60 jobs per month and roughly $750k in revenue.
- Serve as primary job-site contact for installation subcontractors and customers; resolve installation and customer discrepancies; oversee subcontractors to ensure productivity and standards; assign work based on subcontractor specializations.
- Provide financial approvals for job-impacting work up to a 10% variance from original cost estimates.
- Perform post-installation assessments for products or installations not meeting established standards; prescribe work and materials necessary to correct deficiencies.
- Determine workflow, project complexity, and required skills to complete a project; break down all required materials for first-time completion.
- Process project-related paperwork and EPA lead-safe work practice documentation; maintain 98% accuracy on measures and documentation.
- Maintain on-time submission of measures to the Back Office within 24 hours, with exceptions for measure summaries or engineering.
- Serve as primary liaison between sales and customers; provide solutions to ensure first-time completion with adherence to local building codes.
- Promote the RbA Green Diamond Culture with every interaction.
- Assist with installation and service work as required; be dependable and punctual with appointments and commitments.
- Submit structural issues and concerns to the Operations Manager for design and approval.
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing installation projects and coordinating subcontractors in a window/door installation environment.
- Ability to assess project viability, approve or reject based on business objectives, and communicate decisions to the Sales Manager and Sales Reps.
- Comfortable with financial oversight including approving up to 10% cost variance.
- Strong customer dispute resolution and on-site problem solving abilities.
- Knowledge of EPA lead-safe practices and related documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with a track record of 98% accuracy in measurements and documentation.
- Ability to break down materials and verify min-max sizes and correct materials for installation using Specification and Technical Information manual.
- Familiarity with local building codes and ensuring first-time completion.
- Dependable and punctual with appointments.
