About the Role
Installation Assembly Operator roles work under direct supervision to interpret basic work instructions and safely operate/attend basic 2-5 component assembly machines to assemble a single fastener component. They apply basic shop math, blueprint reading, and mechanical aptitude to ensure assemblies meet product specifications and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Interpret basic work instructions and operate/attend 2-5 component assembly machines to assemble a single fastener component.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.
- Record test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and pressure meters.
- Produce assemblies that conform to product specifications and test to customer/industry standards.
- Perform touch-up or full surface painting of parts; mix paint and clean parts.
- Actively participate in lean initiatives by identifying areas for improvement.
- Observe all safety rules and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with the calibration schedule.
- May perform other related responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrate product and process knowledge by applying it to newly learned techniques.
- Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Able to read and understand blueprints, pick lists, and test specifications.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations, as well as demonstrate effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills.
- Possess strong mechanical reasoning and the ability to implement lean initiatives.
- Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to use employee self-service to access online information and use specialized automated systems.
- Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

- For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $16.25 to $23.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.
