About the Role Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects seeks an Inspector II to provide on-site inspection and coordination for ANS Health & Public Service - Water projects in Lorain, OH. You’ll verify compliance with plans, specs, and codes and help ensure safe, timely project execution. What You'll Do
- Provide daily site inspection reports to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes.
- Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and document contractor resource utilization (labor, materials and equipment) for field changes and time-and-material work; assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes.
- Regularly attend and participate in construction meetings, safety meetings/updates and project site coordination meetings.
- Verify equipment and materials installation; measure and record pay quantities; review the contractor's schedule; coordinate 3rd-party special material testing inspections; review and provide input on potential change orders.
- Maintain project records including safety documentation and project photographic records; conduct verification of field surveys; maintain a daily report of all work site activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience. In lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of construction-related experience.
- Compliance with company vehicle policy or willingness to travel to various project areas as needed.
- Solid negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to problems, with a high level of math aptitude.
- Ability to multi-task several priorities and possess strong time management.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $30 - $35 per hour USD.
