Job title: Inpatient Psychiatrist (MD or DO) - Dayton Children's Hospital - 10 month contract
About the Role Dayton Children’s Hospital is currently recruiting a child and adolescent psychiatrist (0.8 FTE on a 10-month contract) for our mental health unit and consult service. This is a full-time, employed position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package, and is part of our initiative to staff the new free-standing behavioral health building.
What You'll Do
- Provide initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management in consult and inpatient setting.
- Supervise psychiatric residents and child psychiatry fellows from Wright State University.
- Provide weekend coverage to inpatient psychiatric unit: every 6-8 weeks.
- Provide night call for psychiatric service 3-5 nights per month.
What We're Looking For
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- 0.8 FTE physician position (approximately 32 hours per week) on a 10-month contract.
- Willingness to participate in weekend coverage and night calls as part of the department's needs.
