Job title: INJECTION MOLDING SUPERVISOR
About the Role The Injection Molding Supervisor will oversee production on the injection molding lines at our Tetla, Mexico facility. You will ensure efficient manufacturing of plastic parts, maintain quality and safety standards, and lead a team to meet schedules in support of GRAMMER’s automotive interiors and seating systems.
What You'll Do
- Review and monitor production plans with logistics.
- Ensure the correct release of parts, plastic injection molding machines, and molds.
- Ensure compliance with production drawings.
- Supervise the completion of first-level GPQ/QRAP meetings on production lines.
- Supervise the correct completion of production line records (first piece, check sheets, release, poka-yoke devices, if applicable, etc.).
- Manage staff training (Multiskilling Matrix "ILUO").
- Manage staff incidents.
- Review hourly compliance with the production rate of assigned machines.
- Review finished product and raw material inventory levels.
- Verify productivity calculations per line.
- Adjust staffing levels based on production schedule priorities and daily absenteeism.
- Notify Human Resources of unexcused staff absences.
- Manage data entry and/or materials in the SAP system.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supervisory roles.
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Production management strategies.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
