Job title: Infrastructure Quality & Test Lead

About the Role The Database SQM Infra Test Delivery Lead holds responsibilities for ensuring the quality of infrastructure-related database initiatives and changes, including patching, upgrades, integrations, certifications, and emergency fixes. This role leads the Infra Test Strategy for infrastructure changes and projects and oversees planning, execution, monitoring, testing, and project closure to ensure quality delivery within Infrastructure Engineering & Operations.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical leadership and expertise within the infrastructure field to deliver quality programs and projects in-house and on-shore.
• Lead infrastructure test delivery for database infrastructure changes and projects, leveraging test automation and collaboration with application testers and IT leaders.
• Build and maintain productive relationships across planning, execution, monitoring, testing, and project closure to embed quality delivery.
• Analyze database change schedules with Engineering partners to drive test strategies, coverage, and testing scenarios.
• Lead the quality delivery of database changes to avoid business impact, handling incidents and defects to resolution.
• Drive quality efficiencies via automated solutions for database changes, testing life cycle, and change process optimization using ITIL processes and tools like ServiceNow.
• Define Infra Test Delivery strategy, approach, and execution for change requests; coordinate test activities and mentor Infra Test Delivery Team.
• Ensure application teams adhere to Infra Test Delivery principles and best practices; build and maintain quality standards with automated test assets.
• Coordinate testing with application teams and Infra change team during infrastructure changes; provide support during resolution.
• Report program status weekly/monthly to Infrastructure leadership and executives; escalate issues and risks as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Familiarity with Automated Testing Types, Environments, Frameworks (Linear, Modular, Data-Driven)
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, smoke, non-functional requirement testing
• Experience delivering infrastructure changes with test planning, scenario development, execution, defect management, and test health metrics
• Test management experience including requirements elicitation, test strategy, effort estimation, and schedules
• Knowledge of Computer Systems Architecture and Data Center Services and Operations
• Infrastructure Administration, Automation Concepts, Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
• Experience with COTS Product Life Cycle, patching, upgrades, and deployment into Dev/Test/UAT/Prod
• Understanding of infrastructure servers virtualization, middleware, and storage
