The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as an early infrastructure hire, owning cloud environments and delivery pipelines for a growing technical team. Work closely with the existing infrastructure engineer to strengthen current systems and deliver new projects as the organization scales.
What you'll do

Own and extend the cloud footprint, including compute, networking, access management, storage and observability.

Keep infrastructure reproducible and reviewable through infrastructure-as-code tooling.

Run CI/CD pipelines end to end, improving reliability, speed and developer experience.

Work alongside the existing infrastructure engineer to execute on current architecture and remove blockers for engineering and research teams.

Keep systems healthy through monitoring and incident handling, while managing spend and tightening security across container orchestration environments.

Take on special projects such as new services, environments and tooling as the team grows.

Requirements

What we're looking for
-
Around 7 years of infrastructure engineering experience.

Deep, recent cloud experience running production workloads.

Strong ownership of infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD.

Background at a company with a very high engineering bar or a fast-moving startup.

Solid engineering fundamentals and the ability to write and ship production code.

Currently based in the Bay Area.

Experience with machine learning infrastructure.

Experience in research-heavy environments or labs.

Electrical or mechanical engineering background.

Base salary: USD 200,000 to 300,000 per year
