Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Infrastructure Design Engineer to develop, review, and coordinate engineering designs for infrastructure development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing technically sound, cost-effective, and sustainable designs that meet project requirements, applicable engineering standards, and construction specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for roads, drainage systems, earthworks, and associated infrastructure.

• Develop and review layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and construction drawings.

• Conduct design assessments and evaluate site conditions, survey information, and engineering reports.

• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.

• Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and material specifications.

• Collaborate with project engineers, surveyors, contractors, and other technical professionals.

• Identify design conflicts and recommend practical engineering solutions.

• Provide technical support during construction and respond to site design queries.

• Participate in design reviews, project planning, and value engineering.

• Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant infrastructure design experience.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; knowledge of other relevant engineering design software is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of road geometry, drainage design, earthworks, and infrastructure construction practices.

• Good knowledge of engineering design standards and technical documentation.

• COREN registration or progress toward professional registration is an advantage.
