Information Technology - Business Analyst Finance (IT)

Role Overview
The Business Consultant will join the Technology Strategic Spend Team to drive the delivery of information for decision-making and various analyses for the Technology Organization. This role is responsible for Technology-specific analysis focused on strategy, labor, hardware, and software. The position will coordinate efforts among Technology, Finance, and Procurement to translate analyses into actionable efforts.
Key Responsibilities

Drive analysis and create presentation materials for IT Capital Expenditures in the Technology Portfolio, including strategic prioritization, budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Create leadership-level analyses that inform on Technology usage, demand, financial impacts, and contractual details.

Build financial business cases for technology decisions, such as considering vendor changes or adding new products.

Leverage data analytics tools like Power BI, SQL, and Excel to develop data-driven suggestions for strategic discussions with senior leadership.

Work with finance and procurement to analyze and report on productivity and automation efforts.

Conduct and lead special projects and ad hoc requests to support the Technology function.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 7 to 10 years of related experience with an emphasis on project analysis, management reporting, planning, and analysis.

Skills

Strong personal computer skills and proficiency with analytics tools including Power BI, SQL, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required to perform analyses and communicate financial information.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial results and projections across all financial statements.

Effective written and verbal communication skills to present information to senior management and business unit officers.

Strong understanding of accounting (GAAP), reporting, and financial analysis, typically acquired through an advanced degree or related work experience
