Information technician - Automotive - Aftermarket

Mission

Are you looking for a practical, hands-on engineering role where you can optimize service and repair solutions for the aftermarket? We are seeking a self-driven, hands-on Service & Information Engineer for an assignment with a major international group based in Gothenburg.

This is a purely technical, hands-on engineering position—with no project management or programming involved. The focus of the role is to maximize product uptime and maintainability by creating high-quality technical information, service methodologies, and special tool evaluations.

You will:

• Create and maintain efficient preventive and corrective service information that fulfills strict requirements for maintainability, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Evaluate and develop special tools as well as define standard operational times for service and repair tasks.
• Ensure high quality and release readiness of technical solutions prior to publishing them to downstream systems and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in global processes and tools by applying Lean principles and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Profile

We are looking for a proactive engineer with strong technical self-drive who thrives in a complex engineering environment. You take full ownership of your tasks and can structure and execute your work independently.

• Experience: 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience in service engineering, technical information, or aftermarket development.
• Education & Background: A university degree in engineering combined with a practical background as a mechanic or technician is highly meritorious.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong technical and mechanical aptitude is an essential, non-negotiable requirement.
• Key Traits: Self-sufficient, proactive, organized, and eager to continually expand your technical expertise.
