Job title: Industrialisation Engineer
About the Role As an Industrialisation Engineer based in North Sydney, you will work closely with the ANZ Project Industrial Manager to support industrialisation activities across new and ongoing Digital & Integrated Systems projects. This role is the link between design and procurement. You'll collaborate with engineers to understand product specifications, manage material data in internal systems, and ensure information is accurate before it moves to the procurement team for sourcing.
What You'll Do
- Supporting industrial readiness and design-for-quality activities
- Maintaining Bills of Materials and Bills of Quantities, and industrial data in ERP systems
- Updating material demand and ensuring data accuracy and traceability
- Assisting with KPI reporting (e.g., On-time IR GO, Material coverage, On time delivery)
- Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and waste reduction
- Supporting implementation of cost reduction and efficiency improvements
- Collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Quality teams
- Supporting coordination to ensure alignment between design and procurement
- Working with teams across Alstom to solve complex challenges shaping mobility
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Engineering (Industrial preferred or Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Confidence working with data and documentation
- Solid IT skills, particularly in Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Pronto) is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and work closely with engineers
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn in a team environment
- Australian Citizenship or unrestricted permanent work rights in Australia
- North Sydney based role, 4 days in the office (hybrid)
- This is a permanent full-time position
