About the Role Volt is immediately hiring Industrial Painter Assistants in San Diego, CA. This role supports surface preparation and epoxy painting on simple parts, following training and established procedures to ensure quality finishes in a manufacturing environment. What You'll Do
- Clean parts prior to painting, masking, paint preparation, and after proper training perform industrial epoxy painting on simple parts.
- Clean, sand, grit blast, mask, and perform other surface preparations prior to paint application.
- Apply paint to all specified tolerances in all areas.
- Remove masking and clean parts prior to further manufacturing processing.
- Set up and operate necessary equipment following established procedures, specifications, oral and/or written instructions.
- Perform other protective coating processing.
- Maintain material records and order coating materials to sustain established inventory levels.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 1st shift 6am – 2:30pm plus overtime during week and weekends; 2nd shift 2pm – 10:30pm plus overtime during week and weekends. What We're Looking For
- Painting experience
- English communication skills
- Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background check and drug screen, as well as E-Verify Nice to Have
- Experience with epoxy coatings (industrial epoxy painting) or related coating processes Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $20.00 - $20.75 per hour (USD)
