About the Role Industrial Maintenance Technician - PLC & Electrical at Mattel's American Girl Brands facility in De Forest, WI. Responsible for maintaining electrical systems, diagnosing equipment outages, and ensuring safety and reliability of conveyors and related machinery.
What You'll Do
- Inspect electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures on a routine basis to ensure functionality and code compliance.
- Determine reasons for malfunctions and create a maintenance or repair plan.
- Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment to maintain full functioning capacity.
- Test systems with voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to ensure safety and compatibility.
- Review blueprints to understand wiring layouts and equipment operation for proper service.
- Utilize PLC software/programs to quickly diagnose conveyor and equipment outages.
- Provide suggestions on equipment/component lifespans and replacement timing to mitigate risks.
- Keep records of maintenance and repairs, including supplies used.
- Ensure routine maintenance is performed on a regular schedule to prevent larger issues and reduce costs.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years' experience in electrical maintenance or related work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have
- Relevant electrician certifications
- Experience with PLCs and other control equipment
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70
