Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the Role Ford is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician at BlueOval Battery Park in Marshall, MI to maintain production equipment, diagnose issues, and drive data-driven improvements to keep the manufacturing line operating at peak performance. This role supports the historic transformation of the automotive industry and emphasizes collaboration, safety, and reliability. What You'll Do

• Preventative Maintenance: regularly inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and performing scheduled maintenance on production equipment (mixing machines, coating machines, clean rooms, and assembly robots) to prevent breakdowns; work on continuous process improvements to ensure the line operates at its designed level.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Equipment Calibration: performing routine calibrations on critical measurement devices to ensure accuracy in the production process.
• Quality Control: monitoring production processes to identify potential quality defects and taking corrective actions to maintain standards.
• Data Analysis: interpreting equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implementing optimization strategies.
• Safety Compliance: adhering to safety procedures, wearing PPE, and reporting any hazards.
• Documentation: maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Collaboration: working closely with production operators, engineers, and other maintenance technicians to address equipment issues. What We're Looking For
• Minimum requirements: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency; Department of Labor or State Recognized Certification, or Military Equivalent; previous industrial mechanical experience or combination of previous work experience and training equivalent; working knowledge of advanced mechanical principles; exceptional computer skills, reading and data interpretation; must be at least 18 years of age; comfortable learning new technology; legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: previous industrial mechanical experience or combination of previous work experience and training equivalent; expert knowledge of automation machinery specifications; expert knowledge with machining, repairing and/or rebuilding machinery, and machine components using laths, mills, grinders; advanced knowledge of all mechanical systems; proficient in reading and comprehension of technical drawings and schematics; advanced computer skills, reading, and interpreting data; fundamental knowledge of PLC such as Siemens, Rockwell, etc.; knowledge and skills of conveyors, drives, robots, and computers; knowledge of HVAC systems including troubleshooting fans and blowers.
