Industrial Maintenance Engineer (PLC & Industrial Controls)

About the Role Edgewell seeks an industrial maintenance engineer/technician to support production through diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and to assist with installation, layout, fabrication, and debugging of PLC-based systems. This role also provides maintenance support for production equipment and collaborates with the parts and vendor teams to keep systems running smoothly. What You'll Do

• Handle varying degrees of complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic work assignments efficiently to install and debug new equipment, and make modifications to repair production machinery.
• Responsible for startup and shutdown functions of all department equipment as dictated by production schedule.
• Provide support to parts department in ensuring spare parts inventory of necessary electronic components is available and make required shop repairs.
• Communicate with vendors in updating existing equipment with suitable replacement parts.
• Communicate process/mechanical abnormalities to Group Leader and Supervisor to facilitate corrections in a timely manner.
• Maintain production, batch, and quality records as required.
• Maintain open communication with employees ensuring an environment of positive employee relations.
• Maintain work area clean and orderly.
• Responsible for daily turnover communication between shifts with fellow colleagues.
• Provide support to maintain quality control of materials and quarantine material as required.
• Perform other duties as directed. What We're Looking For
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems.
• Knowledge of PLC-based controls and the ability to assist with installation, layout, fabrication, and debugging.
• Ability to startup/shutdown production equipment and coordinate with production schedules.
• Strong communication skills with suppliers/vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain production, batch, and quality records; follow quality procedures; and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
