Industrial Engineer (Electrical)

About the Role Volt is immediately hiring an Industrial Engineer (Electrical) in Carson, CA for a 6-month contract. The role focuses on industrializing cabin interior programs, coordinating with design and manufacturing to determine cost-effective production methods, and delivering robust industrialization plans and tooling strategies. What You'll Do

• Project manage the Cabin industrialization deliverables on all new programs as part of the integrated program team.
• Responsible for effective industrialization of each new program.
• Provide Industrial Engineering support and coordination during the development of aircraft interior components.
• Determine most cost-effective methods to create products; develop and execute industrialization plans; maintain KPI metrics.
• Represent the industrialization team in customer and program meetings as required.
• Create the production element of the industrial dossier (Manufacturing BOM, Routers, standardized work instructions with operation times).
• Work with the Design and Manufacturing teams to develop optimal production processes; provide DFMA feedback.
• Coordinate with Facilities to ensure required floor space and support; align with schedule.
• Develop phasing schedules for new line implementations; develop cycle time and takt time standards.
• Lead Lean initiatives and Kaizen/3P events to drive improvements.
• Analyze and manage industrial process and product risks during development; integrate tools/prototypes from tooling engineering.
• Maintain industrialization metrics aligned with Cabin KPI’s and communicate performance regularly.
• Champion NPI projects and related capacity/capability studies; support departmental and personal objectives. What We're Looking For
• B.S. Degree in Engineering with Project Management experience.
• Previous Electrical experience and exposure to NPI projects.
• Capacity and Capability Studies experience.
• PFMEA and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) experience.
• Run at Rate process experience and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong collaboration and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment; excellent attention to detail.
• Project/Program management experience; manufacturing line setup experience.
• Self-motivated multi-tasker who can level load workload and adapt to Lean environments.
• Experience with Lean principles, Kaizen, and 3P events. Nice to Have
• Experience in aerospace cabin/interior components and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with DFMA and tooling integration in program development. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour, DOE.
