About the Role Nexteer Automotive is seeking Industrial Electricians for its Saginaw, Michigan Operations. This role supports industrial electrical systems on automotive equipment; both full-time and part-time positions are available, with safety as a top priority and opportunities to coach peers. What You'll Do
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems to repair industrial automotive equipment
- Read and understand industrial hard wire prints and PLC ladder logic prints
- Work with Allen Bradley PLC 2, 5, and SL500; Modicon 984/Quantum controllers
- Use software interfacing with Allen Bradley and Modicon controllers (Proworks NXT, RSLogix, Modsoft)
- Operate and service GE Fanuc CNC controls and Fanuc servo systems with encoders/resolvers
- Work with Fanuc and ABB robots
- Maintain 480-volt power distribution and motor controls
- Apply knowledge of AC & DC theory and basic electronics
- Mentor fellow employees and participate in additional classroom training as needed
- Communicate effectively in a team environment What We're Looking For
- Journeyman’s card or completion of a Department of Labor-certified program; or suitable experience
- Industrial Electrician experience, ideally 6 years; minimum 4 years relative experience
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment; 480-volt power distribution and motor controls
- Proficiency reading industrial hard wire prints and PLC ladder logic; experience with Allen Bradley PLC 2/5/SL500; Modicon 984/Quantum
- Experience with software interfacing to controllers (Proworks NXT, RSLogix, Modsoft)
- Experience with GE Fanuc CNC controls and Fanuc digital servo systems; Fanuc and ABB robots
- Willingness to participate in additional classroom training; coaching/mentoring others
- State HVAC certification and refrigerants knowledge (nice to have)
- Experience with furnace controls and pyrometer tasks (nice to have) Nice to Have
- Experience with HVAC systems and state refrigerant certification
