About the Role The Industrial Controls Technician will provide support to production by troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production equipment according to all safety legislation and safety rules. The technician is expected to diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root cause, and initiate immediate and long-term corrective actions to keep operations running efficiently. What You'll Do
- Calibrate, commission, configure, install, and troubleshoot all pneumatic, electronic, electrical, mechanical, and analytical instrumentation devices.
- Calibrate and repair analytical instruments that monitor or control variables such as flow, level, temperature, pressure, acidity, conductivity, and humidity.
- Inspect malfunctioning or damaged equipment to identify the root cause of issues and report findings to Maintenance.
- Develop and design control systems logic. What We're Looking For
- Educational background in Electrical Controls, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Proven experience in controls systems troubleshooting.
- Experience with Allen Bradley is required; Emerson experience is considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Nice to Have
- Emerson experience is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: CAD 80,000 to 95,000 per year; overtime eligible.
