Job title: Incoming Quality Engineer
About the Role You will coordinate incoming quality operations and act as the strategic liaison with Quality Engineers to resolve product and logistics-related issues. This role drives compliance with IATF 16949-based incoming quality plans and PPAP, and leads improvements to the Quality Management System.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and oversee all incoming quality operations, acting as the liaison with Quality Engineers to resolve product and logistics-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with purchased parts inspection procedures and sample adjustment processes.
- Define and implement incoming quality plans based on IATF 16949 for all components.
- Manage PPAP status to ensure no deviations impact production.
- Monitor supplier performance; ensure closure of inspection findings and timely implementation of corrective actions (8D reports).
- Lead continuous improvement of the Quality Management System through Layered Process Audits (LPA), process audits, and cost optimization projects.
- Act as the primary communication channel to report and resolve quality and delivery non-conformance issues; maintain audit trail of outgoing communications.
- Be responsible for internal Policies and Procedures relating to SQE Delivery to ensure they are up to date.
- Take a lead role in external audits, approval visits and system verification audits.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (or similar).
- Strong experience with GD&T, 8D problem solving, and PPAP.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
- Advanced English mandatory.
- Proactive, self-organized, and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and travel as required.
Nice to Have
- Experience in automotive supplier quality and SQE processes.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 audits and external audit processes.
- Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.
