Job title: Inbound Equipment Operator
About the Role
The Inbound Equipment Operator at Owens & Minor supports inbound shipments in the warehouse. This role unloads, verifies, and stores inventory using RF and Voice Pick Technology to ensure accurate, safe, and timely receipt of goods. Shift is Monday–Friday with a 5am start.
What You'll Do
- Receive and unload pallets and cases from inbound trailers using pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Accurately count, verify, and document received products using RF equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology.
- Place incoming merchandise into designated storage locations and conduct physical inventories.
- Perform order picking and sortation as directed by Voice Pick Technology and RF scanners; prep totes on conveyors.
- Set up sortation areas and move cartons and totes to appropriate locations; load totes onto conveyors.
- Load pallets onto trucks for customer delivery using RF scanners and other equipment; operate pallet jacks safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety policies; report hazards or equipment issues promptly.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and safety rules; demonstrate reliability and teamwork.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math, reading, and general numeric literacy.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to learn and operate new material handling equipment and technologies.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
Nice to Have
- Experience with RF scanning and Voice Pick Technology (and related equipment).
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $19/hour.
