Job title: In-Store Sales Associate
About the Role In-store Sales Associate supporting counter sales, customer service, and warehouse duties for Linde Gas & Equipment Inc in Lafayette, IN. You will help customers, process telephone orders, answer questions, resolve challenges, trace order status or product shipments, and support the Outside Sales team to drive sales and ensure accurate records.
What You'll Do
- Perform customer service activities, including receiving and entering telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or product shipments.
- Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
- Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers.
- Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
- Promote add-on sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations as an in-store sales representative.
- Maintain customer records and files, ensuring accurate account setup and pricing.
- Perform outbound calls to retail and small 'B' customers.
- Sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and occasionally support additional locations.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma / GED.
- More than one year (1+) of Customer Service/Inside Sales/Counter Sales is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- You do not have a DUI/DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years.
