About the Role Linde in-store position focused on delivering excellent customer service and driving sales at the Pekin, IL store. You will support the Outside Sales team, promote add-on products, and help maintain accurate customer records while ensuring efficient in-store operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform customer service activities, including receiving and entering telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or product shipments.
- Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
- Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers.
- Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team and evaluate/recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
- Promote add-on sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations as an in-store sales representative.
- Maintain customer records and files, ensuring accurate account setup and pricing.
- Perform outbound calls to retail and small 'B' customers.
- Sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and occasionally support additional locations.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- More than one year of Customer Service / Inside Sales / Counter Sales is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- You do not have a DUI / DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years.
