JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to hire a Lawyer with 2 to 3 years of experience to join, on a temporary basis, the Conflicts & Validation Unit within the Compliance In-House team at Cuatrecasas in our Madrid office. The selected candidate will be part of the team responsible for reviewing risks associated with the onboarding of new clients, matters, and payers, carrying out the tasks and responsibilities specific to the area. We are looking for a professional with strong legal judgment and a strategic mindset, eager to play a key role in managing the Firm's ethical, commercial, reputational, and strategic risks.

DUTIES

The main functions are:

• Review and analyze conflicts of interest risks related to new matters and clients entering the Firm, anticipating situations that could compromise the Firm's position.

• Analyze potential risks related to new payers, contributing to the prevention of regulatory and reputational risks.

• Maintain constructive and effective communication with partners and prepare conflict of interest risk reports.

• Promote knowledge and awareness of the Firm's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

• Support the Chair of the Matters Admission and Conflicts of Interest Committee (CACI).

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of meetings of the Matters Admission and

• Conflicts of Interest Committee (CACI).

• Report to the Head of the Conflicts of Interest Unit and the Firm's Compliance Department.

• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Law Degree or Law and Business Administration Degree.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Compliance.

• Knowledge of legal ethics and professional conduct matters, particularly the Spanish

• General Statute of the Legal Profession and its practical application to the identification and resolution of conflicts of interest.

• Understanding of corporate structures, group companies, M&A transactions, restructurings, and financing transactions, enabling the identification of risks arising from intercompany relationships.

• Professionalism, commitment, proactivity, and autonomy.

• Intermediate to advanced level of English.
