Job title: In-Home Dementia Caregiver
About the Role I am seeking a compassionate in-home caregiver to support a senior mother with dementia in Pattison, TX. The role focuses on hands-on daily care, safety, dignity, and comfort at home through ADL assistance, transfers, and behavior management.
What You'll Do
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Provide safe transfers and wheelchair assistance.
- Support meal preparation and feeding if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping and dishwashing.
- Assist with light exercises and mobility routines.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Manage dementia-related behaviors, including agitation and sundowning.
- Maintain a consistent weekly schedule: 5 days per week, 5 hours per day.
- Ensure client safety, dignity, and comfort at home.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in dementia care (including behavior management).
- Ability to assist with ADLs, safe transfers, and wheelchair use.
- Patient, calm, and compassionate demeanor.
- Comfortable assisting with limited mobility and wheelchair use.
- Reliable and consistent with schedule.
