Duties & Responsibilities

Imports

· Send ANF one vessel is loaded in OVA.

· On receipt of release documents check that the documents are correct.

· Clause the system if required.

· Check charges and raise invoices to correct parties.

· Release cargo once invoices are settled.

· Log shipment progress on working file until shipment is complete.

· In the case of uncleared cargo, advise client of cost and arrange movement of cargo to bonded facility.

· Release cleared shipments from bonded facility using an IRO.

· Cross reference rail container lists from OVA with list provided by port of discharge.

· To assist clients promptly, professionally and efficiently.

· To perform Lunch Duty as per Roster.

· To assist in other clerical functions when necessary.

· Ensure filing is updated daily.

· Keeping up a good knowledge of port and landside changes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience Required for this position

• Grade 12
• 1-2 years of experience in the Shipping environment
