Import Export Specialist

About the Role ICON plc is a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization. As an Import Export Specialist, you will ensure compliance and efficiency in international trade operations, managing import/export logistics and coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to move goods smoothly while adhering to regulatory requirements. What You'll Do

• Overseeing the import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with international trade regulations.
• Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
• Conducting audits and reviews of import/export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Resolving any logistics issues or discrepancies related to shipments, customs, and trade compliance.
• Staying informed about changes in trade regulations and providing guidance on best practices for international shipping. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, international business, logistics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in import/export coordination or logistics, with a strong understanding of customs regulations and compliance.
• Proficient in import/export documentation and processes, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English, Brazilian Portuguese (native), and Spanish (is a plus, not mandatory), as will work with other LATAM countries.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
• Note: this is an office-based role in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Nice to Have
